Engineering Technicians
Description:
Engineering Techs perform varieties of advanced technical roles within the engineering department that includes duties as Process Techs, Facility Techs. Test Techs, Quality Techs and Industrial Techs. Each type of Technician job has a unique job description which spells out specific assignments. They may be utilized in leadership roles to include staff supervision and training, problem-solving teams, process improvement planning and implementation. In addition this position writes, interprets, and analyzes technical manuals, operating procedures, operator instructions, reports, and quality data for other technical and non-technical staff. Audits and or inspects the work of other technical or production staff to ensure use of appropriate procedures, quality plans, and workmanship standards. Can be required to perform preventative maintenance and calibration of complex equipment.
Technicians must be able to effectively communicate work requirements and schedules to management and workers. They must be able to collect data to determine the effectiveness of the Quality System, prepare reports, SPC charts and maintain logs as required. Must be able to write procedures and process documentation and analyze data to determine problem areas and take appropriate corrective action.
Education:
Associates or Technical Degree.
Experience:
Over 2 years extensive related work experience. Must be able to read, understand, and interpret written directions, policies, and procedures.
